< Nuradan CYOA 6 - Skirmish in Sund, part 3 | Nuradan CYOA 8 - TBD
This is part of a weekly series of choice prompts that all my Patreon supporters get to vote on. See all the poll posts on Patreon here.
The adventure so far: You are River, a Changeling Stray that got lost, beaten, and mugged as you were traveling in the North of Nuradan. You ended up in the outskirts of the remote village of Sund, and are in desperate need for shelter and supplies. You wait for the night and try to steal something, when brigands attacked the village! You want to lend a hand to the townsfolk, and after incapacitating two archers that were firing from uphill, you stop to assess the situation below you..
You manage to quickly exchange some more words with the bandit. Apparently they are the ones who mugged you the other day… and they are still keeping your stuff at their camp.
The camp is, according to the bandit, a day of walk west of here. There are more people there, that will worry if they don’t come back in at least two days from now. Possibly twenty more bandits where these came from.
As you talk with the bandit, you are also looking down at the village. It’s still dark, but from your understanding two bandits are currently engaging with a handful of armed townsfolk in the village’s square. The remaining one is probably trying to loot the houses to the west of the village.
You have secured plenty of arrows and two working bows from the archers here, as well as three rusty knives.
What do you do?
Fire from here. You can safely push back the two bandits that remain in the square from your position, and offer cover to the few armed townsfolk.
Go help west-side. The area of the village you came from, where the cellar is, can’t be easily seen from here, but a bandit is there. You can flank them the same way you flanked the village earlier, and possibly sneak up on them.
Run for the stash, and then maybe come back. Or don’t. Screw everyone, you don’t need to be here a minute longer.
Vote on Patreon until June 14th, 2026.
