The adventure so far: You are River, a Changeling Stray that got lost, beaten, and mugged as you were traveling in the North of Nuradan. You ended up in the outskirts of the remote village of Sund, and are in desperate need for shelter and supplies. You wait for the night and try to steal something, when brigands attacked the village! You want to lend a hand to the townsfolk, and try to sneak up to the archers shooting from the treeline…
You circle the row of stone houses, unnoticed. Arrows keep whistling overhead, but they can’t hit you. You hear a scream coming from the town square, you turn briefly but can’t see anything - you are too distant now. You turn the corner, and start to climb the hill, keeping very low.
As you come near the treeline, you start to make out the figures of the archers. There are two, one hiding in the bushes to your right, at around 130 feet from you. The other is perched on a low tree branch, another 20 feet to the right of the first one.
You are still weak and fatigued, there’s no way you can pick a fight with them both, despite your extensive past training. You decide to keep to their left, and swiftly enter the small thicket. The two archers keep firing, they don’t notice you. “Oi! You missed again!”, the bandit in the bush speaks.
The soft creaking of your steps is overshadowed by the release of bows and the two bandits muttering between themselves. You are now directly behind the two attackers, who are unaware of your presence.
What do you do?
Throw stones to distract the archers, without aiming at them. You are attempting to turn their attention to the trees behind them, to pause their fire.
Sneak behind the archer in the bush, and try to hit him with the back of your hatchet. You are attempting to render him unconscious, to then take care of the archer in the tree.
Sneak behind the archer in the bush, and try to kill him. One blow to the head with the hatchet and it should be done.
