The adventure so far: You are River, a Changeling Stray that got lost, beaten, and mugged as you were traveling in the North of Nuradan. You ended up in the outskirts of the remote village of Sund, and are in desperate need for shelter and supplies. You wait for the night and try to steal something, when the same brigands attack the village! You help the townsfolk repel the intruders, and now you might have a moment to rest safely. Although part of a larger regional conflict, you decide it’s time to tackle the brigands problem together with the folks of Sund. As you were securing the perimeter you spot and chase enemy scouts, but Creed is severely wounded by one of them.
You rush towards Creed, his face, neck, and hands covered in blood and dirt. You rip apart some of your shirt and quickly push the improvised bandage on the wound, as you call for help. The two men you left behind run to your side, the first one handing you a waterskin. The second turns around, back towards Sund.
You do your best to maintain pressure and clean the wound, but Creed has already gone unconscious. But he’s still alive, and as people from Sund come back with a makeshift stretcher and carry him away, you regain hope. The enemy scouts are long gone by now.
An old lady cleans and stitches Creed’s neck up: it was not too deep of a cut and thanks to your prompt intervention he didn’t bleed out. He’ll be out for a few weeks, but he’ll be taken care of.
What will you do?
Suggest a pursuit for the fleeing scouts. It might be dangerous to follow through with just the few men you have, but you must do whatever it takes to get the bandits unprepared…
Fortify Sund and train the youngsters. It’s still going to be at least a day before the men from Cendalar arrive, and it’s better than just waiting doing nothing…
