The Murky Shallows are a vast swampland in the northwest of the continent. Stiltsborough, a large city built on stilts and once the capital of a bustling, large empire, rots in the center of the region. The rest of the lagoon is littered with gloomy, small islands that serve as hideouts for the pirates that pillage the shipping lanes just east. The theme of the region is the clash between pirates and the remnants of the old Stiltsborough empire.
