Blacktimber are woods where coal is made in Martens. They take the name from the black soot covering the ground and the leaves of the trees.
Pete Elderpine gave birth to the Charred Ones movement here, which later became the faction that pushed back Disciples during the war. Originally, it was just a bunch of coalers that wanted to cut ties with the Disciples.
